This spiritual exercise requires complete calm and a neutral attitude during use. It gains accuracy with continued use. It’s better than dowsing and pendulum because it’s more clearly felt and it’s less susceptible to external influence.
In my opinion it shouldn’t be used for “divination” and “fortune telling” (the future is not fixed, it’s created by you) and should always be prefaced by a prayer to The Most High to purify atmosphere and motive.
It should also not be used for topics you have an attachment (strong desire or aversion) to, as bias distorts the results. Before using it for bigger issues, release the emotional baggage and attachment so that you can view the issue with non-chalant receptiveness.
Use it in cases of uncertainty about a matter or question.
Step 1: Conditioning
Train your index and middle finger to “yes” and “no” by tapping the index finger on a table or armrest saying “yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes” several times and tapping your middle finger saying “no, no, no” several times. Go back and forth like this for half a minute.
Then make a few statements you know to be absolutely true and watch for a tingling or movement in the index finger.
Make a few statements you know to be absolutely false and watch for a tightening or movement in the middle finger.
If these succeed, you can proceed to the actual session.
If there is no response, then this method is not for you at this time.
Step 2: Rephrase your question as a statement
Instead of asking a question, make a statement that can be answered with yes or no. Instead of “Is chocolate good for me?” it’s “Chocolate is good for me”. Instead of “Is it time to let go of this project?” say “Now is a good time to let go of this project”.
Voice your statement and watch the response. If there is no response or the response is vague, you may repeat the statement a few times. Watch for a tingling or movement in the index finger or a tightening, tingling or movement in the middle finger.
Ideally you only use one, two or three statements per session, anything beyond that could dilute the session.
Bottom line: Your body knows many things, by nature and responds to statements. This is similar to muscle testing.
