Sometimes as I fall asleep, an unexpected thought arises. The unexpected thought is accompanied by more energy/feeling than the random, repetitive and common thoughts that pass through the mind. It’s as if
* a long lost memory was recovered or
* you discover something hidden from normal view or
* you see far into the future or
* you see into another life or realm or
* you see from a foreign perspective or
* you notice something previously unknown or
* there are insights and visions that don’t fit your habitual narrative
The unexpected thought can also arise in meditation or contemplation.
There are deeper layers of consciousness, mysterious realms that can be accessed if you’re simply open to what arises unexpectedly.
Often these are brief snippets, flashes, glimpses of the unknown. If you zoom in you can sometimes find out more.
They may involve colors, places, sounds never seen before. They may involve remembering things never remembered before. Receiving them is helped along if you’re willing to confront things that have been ignored or willing to sit or lie in silence without deliberately imagining or sometimes, if you’re willing to imagine things you’ve never imagined before which can trigger other, unexpected thoughts.
As unfamiliar as they seem, you recognize that they are familiar to other levels of yourself. They were familiar to you at one point in the distant past or future and you still have access.
Unexpected thoughts evoke new feelings and expand your consciousness.
