Product Test: Shower Filters
These are not endorsements and I receive no money for mentioning these products. They are personal observations only.
I’ve been testing a product called “Voda Vida 15 Stage Showerhead” in one shower and a product called “Shungite Showerhead” in another shower. I grabbed them off of Etsy.
The Voda Vida product (image 1) filters through
*alkaline ceramic balls
* maifan stone
* chlorine filter
* vitamin c
* germanium balls
* coconut activated carbon
* Calcium Sulfate
* Magnetic Energy Ceramic Balls
* and much more
The Shungite Showerhead (image 2) keeps it simple. It filters only through Shungite stone.

My concern was that filters reduce water pressure. They don’t. With Voda Vida the pressure stays the same, with the Shungite showerhead the pressure is even stronger.
The Voda Vida one requires replacing every half a year. The Shungite stone never requires replacing. A big plus. Both are easy to install – you just screw them on your already existing stuff.
I didn’t expect anything from the Shungite one, it seemed woo-woo to me. I expected a lot from Voda Vida.
The Voda-Vida made the water feel softer, more gentle on skin and hair. I can tell something is “different”. Beyond that, it’s too early to know longer-term effects.
The Shungite one surprises me, because I expected nothing of it. It’s energizing. At first I put it off as placebo effect. But after a week of use, it’s still got that slightly uplifting feel to it. It made me want to look into the Shungite stone.
Even though on paper the Voda Vida one is filtering out so much more, I currently prefer taking a shower under Shungite stones.
I’ll end up screwing on both on the same shower.
If there is more to say on this, I’ll report back in a year.
