Scale of Acceptance/Resistance

Once you fully appreciate what-is, you can move beyond it.

Banging against the wall doesn’t remove the wall, it only hurts your hands. Quit banging, accept there’s a wall, then your hands can heal and you become aware of the ladder that takes you over the wall or the door that takes you through it.

Acceptance does not mean becoming passive and docile but appreciating what is at hand so that you can pivot.

The thing about mental resistance is that it focuses all attention on the barrier instead of where you wish to go.
Before pivoting to a desired reality, a good coach/healer/teacher will use humor and appreciation to help you first accept what-is.
