“The art of seeing small things at a great distance is not to look for them, but to let your eyes find them”. This doesn’t only apply to ships at sea, but many things in life. Being focused all the time is not good. Sometimes you need to focus, sometimes you need to release focus and LET the eyes do it or LET the mind do it or LET life do it. I call this state “open attention” in my “Attention Training Course”. Especially awesome when stargazing: Release focus and allow your eyes to pick up movement. You will SEE MUCH MORE.
