The more you know, the more you see
Went to this Church in Rome a few weeks ago to watch this concert. Became fascinated by what I saw and filmed it.
I had been in this place on a visit to Rome in 2005 and didn’t notice, understand, care about or see ANY of what I saw in 2025.
I now know why the interior of this Church is “Moorish Architecture”.
I know why one of the Archangels is missing from the painting near the top.
I know why one of the Archangels is holding a silver ball and what the finger symbol really means.
I know why there is an Ocean between Earth and the Heavens and why four rivers flow from it and there’s a rainbow above it.
I know why the top level is Gold and the bottom is red.
And about a hundred other things.
I’m not going to tell you because spoon-feeding spoils the joy of curiosity and discovery.
The more I know, the more I see. I’ll see if I can go in there again in another 20 years and see so much more.
