Below is a text message exchange between me and a student. I removed the name in respect of privacy.

The student had been suffering for three months. I sent over some prayers, commands and visualizations (simple!) and the result was a spontaneous disappearance of the problems within a week.
Healing is really as straightforward as this. Complexity goes away from the simple truth.
The key is WHO is doing it (authority/confidence of the healer) and the RECEPTIVENESS (non-resistance, passive relaxation) of the receiver. I go into detail about this in my book “You can heal anyone”.
In-person healing is stronger because of the presence of a person’s electromagnetic field. But it also works remotely because there is no time/space in consciousness.
Neither remote healing nor in-person healing should be done too often because the person needs to self responsibly dissolve the patterns of thought and behavior that led to unwellness. An ancient example of this is when Jesus quick-healed a person and said to him “Be on your way but sin no more” or something along those lines.
“Sin no more” means to release the patterns of thought or behavior that generated the illness in the first place. A healing can remove those elements, but if the person doesn’t change their ways, the same thing or something else may come up over time.
I sometimes experience this in my coaching work. A student shows up, we disappear the problem. Then, years later they contact me, saying the problem has returned. This is why I prefer working in a person’s beliefs, actions and patterns to outright healing them. If they solve it within themselves it tends to have a longer lasting effect than if I shower them with good vibes for a temporary fix.
Not all healing is temporary. It often leads to a change of attitude in the person and the problem never returns again. Ideally coaching and healing involve a balanced mix of my energy and the students effort to heal him or herself.
