To tell truth/falsehood of a belief-system, ideology, group, political movement or even a singular opinion, I look at what kind of people it produces.
If I went into detail, it would be offensive to many, so I will replace actual belief-systems with “XYZ” etc.
In my early twenties I was interested the teachings of group XYZ. I read books by XYZ. But when it came time to join XYZ, and I went to a live-event, I didn’t like the people. The long-term members of XYZ looked pale and weak. They kept repeating slogans as if hypnotically programmed. They had little will of their own and more than half of them had serious health issues. I lost interest.
Almost every time I meet a person who believes ABC, over time I discover over time that they are emotionally ill. Many have been abused or traumatized as children. The ABC-Belief, on the surface, has nothing to do with childhood trauma or abuse. It sounds good on paper. People who follow this ideology seem to want good. But the underlying experience is often suppressed childhood abuse. Most people don’t know this, because they haven’t spent much time in real-life with these people.
As offensive as this may seem, judging a belief-system by RESULTS is a formula for success. Anything you believe in, produces a series of results or lack thereof. If you’re not experiencing the results you prefer, change first your beliefs about how reality works.
I’ve taken it a step further:
Over the last 30 years, I’ve subtly modified my teachings based on the kinds of people it attracts.
Example: If you compare my book “Levels of Energy”, written in 2010 with the new version of the book published in 2024, you’ll notice that some things have been removed and others added. It’s not radically altered, 90% remains the same. It’s from Feedback from all the right and wrong people.
It’s good to change and develop according to Feedback from REALITY.
That book was written based on the principles shared in this article. You can discern the consciousness-level of any belief-system based on the person following it. Their inner radiance is expressed as varying levels of success, health, kindness and competence. In this way you can even discern the quality of different denominations within the same belief-system.
Sure, you can find radiant individuals within every belief-system. They are brimming with energy regardless of whether they are ABC or XYZ. But even here you will find the radiant ones holding certain core beliefs regardless of their outer belief-system.
On social media it’s harder to see a person’s life results – the environment they are in, their daily lifestyle, how they treat their family, friends and neighbors, their conduct, their mood. On social media a person can present a version of themselves that has little to do with reality.
I sometimes think “I wish people could see the day-to-day-real-life of this super-popular celebrity-influencer. They’d be horrified”. There’s a guy, let’s call him WXZ who is extremely violent in real life, but revered my millions as a spiritual teacher. Social media allows one to create a blanket of glamour to mask reality.
That’s why “reading the energy” is one of the most important traits you can develop.
