Energy and Consciousness Research – Recent Product Experiments

A thing can be known by doing it, so I experiment with a lot of consciousness, mind and body related products.

All of the following products I’ve tried in this year of 2025. They all make grand promises of health, wellness or miraculous change.

1. Brain Tap Device

An acquaintance lent me this brain tap device (image 1). It’s pulsating light and sound for brain-entrainment and positive hypnotic suggestions, accompanied by music. The suggestions are spoken faster than you can digest, sometimes with multiple voices speaking at the same time.

I tried it for a month and experienced no benefit for myself, even though the product itself is high quality. That doesn’t mean it’s not a good. It probably works for suggestible people, but I’m not one of those. I won’t be using it again.

2. Vagus Nerve Stimulator

A borrowed this from the same acquaintance. Vagus nerve stimulation (image 2) is supposed to improve heart rate, lower blood pressure, improve digestion, circulation, alleviate depression and a whole host of other things.

I tried it for four weeks, about four minutes a day. Feeling an electric current on my nerves felt very pleasant, I enjoyed the experience. One of the unwanted side-effects was that I was hoarse for a few hours after.

I experienced no benefit or improvement, but maybe that’s because I am already in a perfectly healthy state. Online reviewers swear by it but I won’t be buying this for myself.

3. Smoking Native American Herbs

I was researching ancient tobacco practices and learned that the native Americans smoked a lot of non-tobacco, non-nicotine, non-toxic herbs. I got curious, bought a pipe and some of these herbs and smoked them every day for a period of two weeks.

The experience was relaxing and mildly tasty, similar to drinking herbal tea. No altered state was experienced apart from the slight buzz you might also pick up from certain tea.

I discontinued the practice and won’t be pursuing it.

4. Bentonine or Pascalite Clay as Shampoo

Bentonite or Pascalite Clay is supposed to have instant-healing and anti-arthritis qualities. Beginning 2025 I started using soaps and shampoos that had bentonite mixed in (image 4).

Even though I didn’t experience any miraculous events, I liked the smell and texture of bentonite. I’m not quite sure why, but it feels good to me.

I continue this practice.

5. Five small meals a day

Not a product, more of a lifestyle experiment. In 2025 I went from one or two average meals a day, to having five small meals a day.

I don’t know if this would work for anyone else, but it worked well for my body. My metabolism and digestion work better than before.

I continue this practice.

And I will also continue to the practice of experimenting, as I always have.
