In The Reality Creation Technique I differentiate between Personal Will and Divine Will, saying that when one has reached the limits of Personal Will, one should surrender to Divine Will. Divine Will is the force behind the many Miracle Stories posted on this website.
Recognizing only personal will without the larger context of Divine Will leads to arrogance and ultimately to humiliation once you realize you are powerful but not all-powerful. One of the people who gave Willpower a really bad name in the 20th Century was Adolf Hitler and also Fascism in general. The Nazis most famous propaganda movie was called "Triumph of the Will". Fascists and Nazis were aware of the power of Will and they displayed it in grandiose architecture, military machinery and athletic superiority. The Nazis strove for a superhuman state, a kind of yogic purity, which included supposedly "cultural, ethnical and racial purity". Fascism is what happens when personal Will is aggrandized and put above Divine Will. Divine Source is then replaced with a political figure to worship, such as Adolf Hitler. Hitlers arrogance was further fueled by drug abuse as well as the influence of negative-vibe discarnate entities, in my opinion.
Because of the horrifying disasters that human Willpower has caused throughout History, all the way from the destruction of Atlantis to World War II, humans have become afraid of their power. They are afraid of their power because of the harm and damage it can cause. This is why hundreds of textbooks throughout History contain reference to "thy Will be done" rather than "my Will be done". Once the Ego-Self finds out how it can create its own reality its not much longer until it finds out how it can create mass-reality through willpower. If that Ego-Self is not grounded in love, humility and kindness, its raw willpower is often destructive instead of creative.

Your personal will is capable of much, much, much more than most of you assume. But this personal will also has limits and can also have adverse effects if not balanced out with the idea of Surrender to a Higher Context. So train your will to its outermost limits, use it for the good but dont forget to request higher guidance in all your endeavors.
