Any reality you'd like to get rid of or create is composed of one or several of the following:
* Psychological
* Spiritual
* Biological or Chemical
* Sociological or External
To consider only one of these sources is a limitation.
When I work as a coach with people they are often surprised that I ask about other factors than the workings of ones thoughts and emotions. A spiritual cause of trouble might be having lost ones connection to a higher source. A chemical source of trouble might be eating too much sugar, which can cause lack of energy. I've met plenty of coachees where just saying "cut down on the sugar" solved many of their "emotional issues". A sociological cause might be living in a dangerous part of town where sitting back and relaxing could be dangerous.
All these factors usually support each other and are the consequence of an overall context...an energy-level, a level of consciousness. The overall context is what attracts certain thoughts, sociological, biological and chemical conditions, a certain environment, and a spiritual/karmic destiny. As you shift the energy-level, the other factors gradually start to change too. One condition does not cause another, but correlates to another as being indicative of an overall field one is in. A negative inner attitude could drive one to make bad dietary choices or to be too inert to move away from a bad part of town. But vice-versa, negative dietary choices could also propell a bad inner attitude and growing up in negative circumstances could also make one feel habituated to staying in that bad part of town. The point I am trying to make is that all four areas must be factored in when practicing self-therapy or creating a reality you prefer. An improvement in one area will improve all others.

Many claim to be taking a "holistic" approach toward things but ignore entire dimensions of solution. They might subscribe to "faith healing" but ignore going to see a doctor, or they might go see a doctor but completely ignore the negative thought-forms of the patient. Modern sociologists tend to ignore personal Will as a causative factor. A drug-addict might try to use affirmations to get out of his issue but ignore the chemical slavery he is subjecting himself to. So indeed all problems are psycho-socio-bio-spiritual, as are all solutions. As a life coach I have helped people solve issues in many unexpected ways, by relying on intuition rather than formulaic responses. Use your Intuition and stay open toward many different type of approaches.
